Every Saturday, late in the afternoon, Michelin takes stock of the situation regarding tires.

We rarely hear about it but, just once, here are the French manufacturer's recommendations regarding the MotoGP race, after the free practice sessions and qualifying.

Piero Taramasso : " We have mixed conditions at the Red Bull Ring, but considering the time we spent in the dry, the results are good. All three types of front tires work well, but it looks like the choices will be more medium and hard for racing. At the rear, soft and medium solutions also work well. These tires are quite consistent and the grip level is very good, so riders will choose the ones that best suit their bike and their feeling. »

« We also had wet conditions yesterday and today, and it appears that the front mid and rear mid are the solutions that work best, as they provide better feeling and support. But for the race, if it rains a lot, we expect the riders to take the medium front and soft rear, which is a combination we already tried here last season. »
