The Pramac driver secured a place in the provisional top 10 today and hopes to continue his momentum tomorrow.

Jack Miller arrived on the Red Bull Ring circuit after achieving rather mixed results in the first three Grands Prix with a fourth place, a blank result and a ninth position last week. If the Ducatis have been in rather difficulty until now, the trend seems to have been reversed in Austria with three riders in the top 10.

The Australian driver had a good FP1 by placing eighth, thus securing a provisional place in Q2 due to the rain which fell in the afternoon on the circuit, preventing the drivers from really going out before the last ten minutes. From there, and despite the times, the morning classification was fixed and Miller therefore finished the day in eighth position. We note his first place in FP2, where he was comfortable, even if the times were not significant.

If the rain falls tomorrow morning, Q2 will actually open at number 43, otherwise it will be necessary to confirm. Regardless, this first day remains positive. “I am happy with the performance of the bike”, said the Pramac pilot. “From the start this morning, my feeling had improved. We have some changes to make but we are heading in the right direction. »

“I didn't have the opportunity to improve my time on the last lap of FP1 because of a yellow flag but we are still in the top 10 and given the uncertain forecasts for tomorrow we have that extra security . »
