Remy gardner

This first day in Indonesia was also an opportunity to evacuate liabilities left unresolved in Qatar, and Remy Gardner had one with Darryn Binder. The fault lies in this fight for fifteenth place in the race on the Losail track, an envied position since it then meant the first point scored for a rookie and the first position among the beginners. The Australian won the victory from the South African, but not without difficulty. The KTM Tech3 rider had asked to discuss the facts with his rival at Yamaha RNF and the meeting took place…

On one side one Remy gardner accusing Darryn binder de drive “like a monkey” and on the other one Darryn binder not understanding the resentment of Remy gardner, this is what the atmosphere was like between the two men when they met in Mandalika to discuss what had happened on the track in Doha.

Remy Gardner: “Darryn Binder should drive half a second slower in the future”

An exchange which was apparently constructive, and which smoothed things over. The Tech3 KTM rider says so on speedweek : " I spoke to Darryn after the Doha race. It was a good conversation. He said the bike was riding him, and he wasn't riding the bike. I replied that I could see it. He should drive half a second slower in the future, it would be better for him too. It was a good conversation ».

He adds: “as a rookie, I also listen to the boys and I pick up on everything. I keep my eyes and ears open. It was the first race in MotoGP for us and that's kind of understandable. We didn't argue, it was a conversation,” insists Remy, who sums up his first day in Indonesia, at the end of which he is 18th, behind his teammate Raul Fernandez: “ it was very hot today here in Lombok. The track was a bit tricky this morning due to the pouring rain just before the start of the day, but in the afternoon it was better and allowed us to attack more. We changed the bike's settings a little, which I have to adapt to, but I think tomorrow we will be able to take a new step ».

Darryn binder finished this Friday of the Indonesian Grand Prix 23rd and penultimate with his Yamaha M1 RNF, ahead of the Ducati GP22 of Luca marini.
