Valentino Rossi was nominated at the prestigious and fashionable ceremony of Laureus Awards which rewards, with prizes and trophies, high-level athletes for their achievements over the past year. The Yamaha official was competing in the “comeback of the year” category due to his rapid recovery from a broken leg that only kept him away from his bike for a few weeks. But Vale found himself stronger than him.
The Laureus Awards took place and the event was all about the tennis man Roger Federer. Not only did the Swiss win the distinction of sportsman of the year, but he also deprived the Doctor of access to the return of the season.
