Valentino Rossi was nominated at the prestigious and fashionable ceremony of Laureus Awards which rewards, with prizes and trophies, high-level athletes for their achievements over the past year. The Yamaha official was competing in the “comeback of the year” category due to his rapid recovery from a broken leg that only kept him away from his bike for a few weeks. But Vale found himself stronger than him.

The Laureus Awards took place and the event was all about the tennis man Roger Federer. Not only did the Swiss win the distinction of sportsman of the year, but he also deprived the Doctor of access to the return of the season. A trophy that the teammate Casa Particular in Viñales had taken in 2011 while in 2006 he left with that of “sportsmanship of the year”.

For the rest of motor sports, we note that the team of the year is the Mercedes Formula 1 team which succeeds Renault in the table which had been rewarded in this way in 2006 just like Brown GP in 2010. On the other hand , Ferrari has never been so distinguished. It just goes to show that legends can sometimes be forgotten at the Laureus Awards.
