Or Aramco is the name associated since the beginning of this large-scale VR46 project in MotoGP. A sponsorship which has just been denied through a press release from Great Britain in the hands of the Brunswick group, in which “ Aramco confirms that it has not signed a strategic agreement with the VR46 team as with any other MotoGP subsidiary. Aramco has never had a commercial relationship with Tanal Entertainment, MotoGP or any team ».
The Saudis must clarify the situation
We couldn't be clearer... But there are still Saudis who feel concerned by this adventure. Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Saud, boss of the holding company Tanal Entertainment Sport & Media, intervened directly to try to clarify the issue. “ His Royal Highness confirms that, as already announced in press release VR46 of June 24, 2021, Tanal Entertainment Sport & Media will announce in the coming days a collaboration related to international motorcycle sport with related details of the project with VR46 in the MotoGP world championship ", we read in a note published by Moto sprint.
We will therefore have to wait a few days to clarify the aspects of an operation which indeed deserves attention given the issues announced... On this vagueness, Valentino Rossi commented : “I haven’t followed the file much. We do everything in good faith, and I have personally spoken to Prince Al Saud at least eight times , the last of which was Thursday evening, where he reiterated his satisfaction with the project. When it comes to such large sponsorships, some may not be happy, because maybe they wanted it, but apart from that, I think and hope that everything is true"
