Casey Stoner

Casey Stoner was a meteorite in the MotoGP sky. A rough diamond with disarming natural talent who was crowned on a Ducati and with a Honda before bowing out at the age of 27. He was also a character, with strong ideas. His departure in 2012 opened the door to a certain Marc Marquez, who has since made his way... As for the Australian, he said he would like to be useful to his sport which has given him so much. But also personally cost. He hasn't forgotten anything, from Rossi to Honda via Ducati, and he wanted to remind us...

Casey Stoner has left the Grand Prix scene, but he still haunts the backstage. He even manages to annoy the younger generation like a Joan mir who castigated his expertise made from his sofa. But the Australian doesn't just comment on the burning news. He also still keeps accounts of the sulphurous past.

In a recent outing, he addressed his three favorite subjects: Valentino Rossi, Ducati et Honda through Marc Marquez. And the least we can say is that he still has his convictions… So on the Doctor: “:  for me, when I raced against him, he was a winner, a killer, he did everything to win races. Now a top 5 or a podium is like a victory for him and it's sad for me. He did everything to win the races, but today he seems to have difficulty doing so”.

“Marc Marquez and his team kicked me out”

Casey Stoner recalled the end of his period Ducati : " I moved to Honda because in 2009, after discovering lactose intolerance, I had a difficult time and I didn't like how Ducati handled the situation. They had offered one of my opponents almost double my salary to run with them while I was away. They said a lot of negative things about me to the press and they didn't support me ". It will be recalled that the Australian is the only one to have brought a Grand Prix title to the Borgo Panigale manufacturer. It was in 2007.

It remains that at Honda, there were also misunderstandings… “ I don't know why Honda excluded me. I don't know if they thought I was planning my return and that I was a threat to Marc Marquez. But he and his team kicked me out ". A version of the facts that the team manager at the time Livio Suppo, Racing Consultant always denied it.

Casey Stoner ends with his current motivations: “ there is no way I will come back to racing. When I made the decision in 2012, I was very confident and never looked back. There are so many reasons why I made this decision. I felt the sport wasn't going in the direction I wanted. I was there for the passion of the sport, not for the fame or success »...
