It was feared and unfortunately, it happens. Due to a collision with Johann Zarco during the last British Grand Prix, Miguel Oliveira was unable to work as he should during the two days of testing which followed the Silverstone escapade on the Misano track. The same track which hosts the San Marino Grand Prix this weekend. A delay in the apprehension of the difficulty which was felt in the course of the Portuguese pilot this Friday.

What's more, the pilot Red Bull Tech3 KTM has not recovered from the incident experienced in the United Kingdom. Miguel Oliveira still suffers from a tendon injury in his right shoulder. “ The first day here in Misano was a bit complicated because of my injury, but also because I missed the test here. This means that we lack references. I just have to ride and get my bearings on the laps. At the moment the power in my shoulder and stability is a bit of an issue, so I'm going to try to recover tonight and try to figure out if it can get better tomorrow with exercise. Hopefully we can find a little more speed tomorrow to get closer to the top of the standings. »

20e, Miguel Oliveira ahead of his teammate Syahrin 23e hardly better off but for other reasons: “ this Friday was really difficult for me. I didn't have the same feeling as during the test and obviously not the same rhythm, which confused me a little. Hopefully we can improve tomorrow for the second day. We know where we need to go, but we still need to know the best way to improve the bike like myself. Sector three is a big weak point at the moment, so let's see what we can do. »
