The third fall in two days was good for Andrea Iannone who had been going through an ordeal since Friday in Misano. Despite a new and aerodynamic suit and a good will shown regarding his Aprilia, Joe the Maniac was not able to put himself into attack mode. When he attempted such a move, he found himself on the ground. Hit in the shoulder after a final antics, he throws in the towel and remains uncertain for the next round in Aragón, which will take place next weekend... Because it is an injury dating from the 2015 Japanese Grand Prix which is is awake...

Andrea Iannone was declared unfit by the doctors who therefore notified him of his end of the game in this San Marino Grand Prix. The checks carried out on his left shoulder led to this verdict. Iannone had fallen on Friday in FP1, then again in FP3, due to a technical problem, then during FP4. The doctor Zasa from the mobile clinic explained his type of injury: “ rather it suffers from the structure of the ligamentous capsule. » The conditions of his left shoulder do not make him fit to race and therefore Aprilia will only field one rider, namely Aleix Espargaró.

We hope that Iannone will be in better condition in a week for the Aragon Grand Prix. A fairly short convalescence period which could encourage Aprilia to already mobilize Bradley Smith.

We will recall that Iannone has had problems with his left shoulder since 2015, he should have had surgery but he always postponed the operation. Repeated falls Misano didn't help matters.
