This weekend, the World Superbike race stops at Imola after making its pilgrimage to Assen Cathedral. On this last occasion, a certain Scott Redding was to see how it was happening on the motorcycle speed side, improved series machine version. And he found it more relaxed than in MotoGP. And what's more, he wasn't bored.

Scott Redding admitted, he had never set foot in a Superbike meeting until then. In Assen, he therefore filled this void and on crash.net, he confided his feeling: “ it was my first visit to WSBK and I found it pretty cool » says the Pramac Ducati rider. “ Everyone was relaxed and the race was fun. Everyone is calm and it's pleasant because we find the simple joy of competition ».

On this, he compares with his world: “ in MotoGP there is so much tension whereas here much less and everyone is friends ". And even, Scott Redding experienced a bickering between Jonathan Rhea et Chaz Davies during qualifying, the two drivers did not get along, the latter accusing the other of having hampered him in a fast lap.

Despite this, it is the positive side which dominated in the judgment of the teammate of Danilo Petrucci. Except for this: the upheaval of the starting grid for the second race by reversing the positions of the first round on the first three rows: “ it's somehow dangerous while for teams who spend so much money to be in front, it's seeing their efforts called into question just for show. Starting from the third row could cost you a race ».

That said, the Superbike championship is currently being crushed by Kawasaki and notably a Jonathan Rhea who, heading into the fifth meeting of the specialty calendar, is no less than 64 points ahead of his teammate Tom Sykes. In MotoGP, after four Grands Prix, there are three winners and the first four in the championship are united in ten points. Including the top trio in four units. You surprise me that it's more tense.
