Always thanks to our partner Mototribu.com, for which photographer Han Mohd captures photos of the Shakedown MotoGP In Sepang, we can offer you a new series of photos this evening, this time of Saturday activities in Malaysia!
Of course, following an agreement between the factories, the teams, IRTA and Dorna, the pit lane being forbidden to photographers, the photos only concern the action on the track, but we can already see some small novelties which will be analyzed in due time in the “Spy Attitude” appropriate. For the pitot tube on the Yamaha, or the KTM, it's relatively easy… 🙂
After the galleries of the Friday morning, and Friday afternoon, we can see the entry on the track of the official Yamaha and Pramac riders, as well as that of the rookie Somkiat Chantra.
For the unofficial results of this second day of testing, the progress of which you can find here, the hierarchy is established as follows:
1. Alex Rins (E), Yamaha, 1'58.745
2. Pol Espargaro (E), KTM, +0,003
3. Fabio Quartararo (F), Yamaha, +0,067
4. Ai Ogura (J), Aprilia, +0,169
5. Fermin Aldeguer (E), Ducati, +0,185
6. Jack Miller (AUS), Yamaha, +0,407
7. Dani Pedrosa (E), KTM, +0,680
8. Alex Espargaro (E), Honda, +0,969
9. Miguel Oliveira (P), Yamaha, +1,035
10. Takaaki Nakagami (J), Honda, +1,134
11. Michele Pirro (I), Ducati, +1,423
12. Augusto Fernandez (E), Yamaha, +1,606
13. Lorenzo Savadori (I), Aprilia, +2,176
14. Somkiat Chantra (THAI), Honda, +2,283
Although far from the 2024 pole position of Francesco Bagnaia in 1'56.337, and even if the attack of the time trial is obviously not yet on the agenda, the times are tight, and other photos will follow over the days: the 2025 MotoGP season is here!
