On the first day in Malaysia, Tito Rabat was average with fifteenth place out of thirty drivers present, in 2'00.912, 1.485 behind Dani Pedrosa's best time. He progressed the next day with a time of 2'00.506, 1.151 behind his compatriot Maverick Vinales.

The third day started in a very positive way, with several laps under two minutes which earned Rabat a position in the top 6. A little later, Tito occupied ninth place with two hours to go.

On the final afternoon, the plan was to complete a full race simulation, but it was interrupted by a crash on the ninth of 20 laps.

Despite his incident, Rabat left the circuit very satisfied after finishing the test with the twelfth fastest lap, just 0.717 behind Jorge Lorenzo aboard his official Ducati.

Tito Rabat :

“It was a very positive test because I managed to go fast with a very good pace while riding alone.

“With each lap I feel more comfortable on the bike and the team did a great job over the three days.

“On the last afternoon we did a simulated race, but I crashed so we couldn't finish it. The positive thing is that we know why it happened, it was the same as the first day and in the same corner, with the front tire way.

“This tire doesn't warn you before the limit as we already knew, but now we have things clear for the next test. I am very happy with the results of these tests, with the team, with the bike and with my physical condition. “Now it's time to train hard at home to prepare for Thailand. »
