Marc Marquez had a very eventful day at Silverstone. On a circuit that has never done him any favors – and where he has lost three times in spectacular fashion in both Moto2 and MotoGP – he didn't particularly shine. Yes, he was the fastest this morning, but a technical problem prevented him from taking part in the starting practice sessions. Then, during practice, he suffered a minor crash. It's not much, but he is "only" fourth at the end of Friday, which is rare in 2025.

Marc Marquez suffered a fall in the afternoon, but did not want to let the bike go, as if he wanted to save it. « I crashed because I entered the bend too fast, I immediately understood why I crashedI really made a mistake. Since I understood right away, I set off again wanting to continue with the same tire. When I lost the front, I thought about the fact that I had to limit the damage. Instinct took over, but I should have let her go. » he added.

In the morning, he was unable to take part in the test starts, which are crucial for adjusting the driver assistance. Marc Marquez isn't too worried about it and may have something in mind. “It’s true that on some tracks, it’s difficult to deactivate the holeshot device. Tomorrow I will follow my instinct, in Sprint, then on Sunday in GP. The fault? In the end, it was just a sensor that detected an error and told me to turn off the engine, which I did." he continued.

 

 

According to Marc Marquez, the favorite is none other than his brother Alex. “It’s really impressive here, It's one of his favorite tracks along with Barcelona and Sepang.He is stronger than me on certain points, especially long and fast turns » he concluded.
