Silverstone Di Giannantonio

Very complicated day for Fabio Di Giannantonio at Silverstone, who was not rewarded for his efforts. First in qualifying, with this general imbroglio, which led him directly to a sad tenth position on the grid. Yesterday, however, he was well placed during the Practice, but was not able to convert his teachings then. He seemed to have regained his strength during the Sprint, but too many off-track events cost him a long lap. Over such a short distance, obviously, such a sanction is very penalizing. He therefore finished ninth, without demerit, and with a better chance tomorrow.

“Diggia” was not at its best. While he should logically continue with Ducati VR46 in 2025 – and why not with a Desmosedici GP25, he did not take advantage of the numerous racing incidents to strike. « It's really a shame for the long lap because I was in the wake of the group which was fighting for the Top 5. A mistake, I'm sorry, the pace was really good, I felt really comfortable on the bike and we had a really good start, one of the best of the year. » he asserted. The Italian blames himself terribly, because he knows that there was a lot to do on the English route.

That said, his rise not far from the top 5 once the lights went out is more than encouraging. He can legitimately hope to aim very high tomorrow, and why not beat a struggling Marc Marquez on the Ducati GP23. « As for tomorrow, I am confident ; Let's take advantage of today's data, take another step and stay focused. » he continued.

Fabio Di Giannantonio has had a very good start to the season. In one year, he went from WSBK prospect to future rider on a factory machine in MotoGP, solely thanks to the strength of his right wrist. However, its results are not inherently incredible, but now no one is supposed to ignore its immense potential, even when it doesn't pay off like today.

Do you think he can do even better tomorrow, during the Grand Prix? Tell us in the comments!
