Bezzecchi Silverstone

Marco Bezzecchi does well at Silverstone. At the start of the Sprint, he was hit by Franco Morbidelli, who was also penalized with two long laps to complete tomorrow, during the Sunday race. The two Italians from the VR46 academy remained on the ground for a long time, but fortunately, neither suffered serious injuries. The accident was significant, and Bezzecchi, already hit last year at the start of the Sprint in India, as well as in Austria, does not really have any luck in this format. He confides at greater length.

What an incredible fall. Morbidelli, who had completely lost control of his Desmosedici GP24, crashed into Bezzecchi, who was very lucky not to be hit on the ground by other competitors. « A race significantly shorter than expected : I didn't have a bad start, I tried to stay on the inside in the first corner, but I just felt a big bump and ended up in the air. The impact with the asphalt was violent » he said shortly after this incident.

Miraculously, no injuries for him. « I immediately felt pain in my foot, but after the x-ray at the medical center we ruled out injuries. The bruise is painful, we try to take advantage of these hours to recover with physiotherapy and understand in what conditions we will be able to return to the track tomorrow." he continued.

His day was not the most successful before this incident. In qualifying, he got stuck in the peloton, and only finished 12th. As if that wasn't enough, he almost got his straps pulled up by Marc Marquez who was following him, while Bezzecchi gave him a cartwheel! The two hardly like each other, that's for sure, but this situation did not work in favor of one or the other.
