The accident which punctuated the start of the British Grand Prix Silverstone put two men on the ground, the Frenchman Fabio Quartararo and the Italian Andrea Dovizioso.

If the first hit the asphalt with his right thigh, he quickly got up before declaring that everything was fine.

fabio quartararo at the microphone of Sky Sport: “The first curve was quite difficult. Rins made a good start but lost grip in the first corner. I was behind and had to close the throttle quite aggressively and did a highside. And Dovi got on my motorcycle. The most important thing is that we are both fine and I hope he has nothing.”

To Andrea Dovizioso, on the other hand, things are more complicated since the Ducati rider violently fell on his right side after taking off on Fabio Quartararo's motorcycle. The marshals then helped him walk away from the track before he lay down again and then knelt while waiting for the ambulance which took him to the medical center.

After an initial auscultation where no lesion was observed, Andrea Dovizioso was transferred by helicopter to Coventry Hospital for further checks due to a severe blow to the head which caused a momentary loss of memory.

Finally, shortly after 16:30 p.m., several hours after the race, the official MotoGP website announced that Fabio Quartararo was taken to the medical center for a check-up because he wasn't feeling very well after doing media duties.

We sincerely hope that these two pilots have nothing and are well, as quickly as possible!
