That's a shame. Jack Miller was motivated for this third day at Silverstone, but he was unable to convert his speed into big points, despite all the incidents. The Australian, in the form of his life during the first laps, seemed to be heading towards a completely unexpected podium, but after a few laps, he was already having to fiercely defend his position. He also chose the soft tire beforehand, but this choice did not pay off. He spent most of his race being overtaken. He can still be proud of himself given the spectacle he put on.
"Jackass" is a unique character. He strikes when you least expect it, and that was still the case today. « I had a good start to the race and was certainly doing better on the soft tyres than the guys on the Ducati. I tried to keep up with Fabio, but without success. So I focused on myself. I had enough to do anyway with the wind and the correct use of the front tire » he confided for speedweek.

Even though the Yamaha's engine has improved a lot – as has the chassis, for that matter – it's still very difficult to defend and attack on faster bikes on the straights. And between Morbidelli and the Marquez brothers, Miller had a hell of a time containing his rivals. “In the end, the advantage was on their side: the race was really fun, but it didn't taste so good because I had to sacrifice some seats » he added.

He too was very surprised by the frenetic pace maintained by his colleague Fabio Quartararo. The impressed Australian paid a glowing tribute to the Frenchman, saying he was the best today. « Fabio started with the same tires, but he was in a different dimension. He was way ahead of all of us, with a much better idea of the limits of his package. » he concluded.
