The final qualifier for the Silverstone British Grand Prix will feature the motley mix of 10 drivers who pre-qualified in the dry, with Aleix Espargaro, Jorge Martín, Brad Binder, Maverick Viñales, Johann Zarco, Francesco Bagnaia, Marco Bezzecchi, Jack Miller, Luca Marini and Álex Márquez, as well as Franco Morbidelli and Augusto Fernández who recovered this morning in the wet.

Aleix Espargaró will he be able to repeat in the wet his extraordinary performance from Friday, which showed him in the dry almost 7 tenths faster than his closest opponent?

FP2 gave a first rather negative response but the next 15 minutes will definitively close this question, on asphalt that is still wet and with temperatures of 12° in the air and 14° on the ground.

When the red lights go out... Aleix Espargaró rushes first while Franco Morbidelli et Johann zarco remain in their box.

Curiously, work is still being done on the Frenchman's Ducati GP 23 to change the discs and the Pramac rider finally sets off a lap and a half late.

Jack Miller registered 2'15.629 ahead Augusto Fernández, Franco Morbidelli, Maverick Viñales, Luca Marini, Marco Bezzecchi and Francesco Bagnaia at the end of the first flying round.

In the next passage, Francis Bagnaia climbs to second provisional position but the Ducati rider makes a mistake in sector #2.

Marco Bezzecchi takes the opportunity to steal his position, himself immediately dethroned by Alex Marquez who also makes a mistake, this time in turn #1.

Four minutes from the checkered flag, Marco Bezzecchi puts it on again and snatches provisional pole position in 2'15.359!

Conversely, Luca marini made a mistake by losing the rear of his Ducati GP22 in turn #1.

The Ducatis and the KTMs will therefore share the first two rows despite a new drop in Marco Bezzecchi in the last minute.

The scorpion of the VR46 nevertheless obtains its third pole position in MotoGP, the second in a row after Assen.
