Certainly, the extraordinary circumstances of the race marked by 15 falls were favorable to him and he was undoubtedly lucky to have a Dani Pedrosa behind him rather than a Brad Binder in sight of the finish, but there is no nothing to take away from Fabio Quartararo third in the Sprint race in Jerez, this Saturday, as part of the Spanish Grand Prix. And especially not his departure...

At the microphone of Canal+, fabio quartararo gave his feelings about this crazy race which is for the moment the highlight of this fourth round of the MotoGP season: “ I did a very good first lap afterwards, of course we saw the crashes that took place in the race and we had a pretty good luck factor. But anyway I managed to hold Pedrosa who was behind me throughout the race and who was much faster than us throughout the weekend so I'm very happy ».

He adds : " I think we learned a lot of things today, we tried the soft tire, it was good but it was limited, so we know that tomorrow will be different. We will try to analyze that but today we will take advantage of this first Sprint podium ».

Fabio Quartararo: “ I don't expect to achieve the same result tomorrow »

On his package, the official Yamaha mentioned : " we left with a motorbike that we didn't know. By starting twenty-third we have nothing to lose especially considering that the Sprint points from ninth place so I think the objective was to analyze this setting a little. And it went really well so we're going to analyze that and see if tomorrow we can find something else ».

Then he returns to his result: “ it feels really good, there were some racing incidents but I managed to keep Pedrosa behind me the whole race. He did a lot of testing here, we know that throughout the weekend he was much faster than us in the dry and I managed to stay in front of him during the race. so very happy ».

He finishes : " during the Monday test, you will have to try everything, honestly, there are so many things to try that I think this result is morally good, for me but also the team. Because it’s been a very long time since we’ve done a parc ferme, so it’s very motivating for the team. I don't expect to achieve the same result tomorrow but in any case what is certain is that I think we can be satisfied with today's race ».
