Eight wins in nine races. Marc Marquez is still going strong in Spain, on the legendary Jerez track. The eight-time world champion was certainly beaten in qualifying by Fabio Quartararo, but during the race, no one could resist him. Obviously, it was easier after the fall of "El Diablo", but the factory Ducati driver still seemed untouchable, so much so that neither Bagnaia nor Alex Marquez were able to catch him. He further extends his lead in the championship and, more than ever, is the big favorite for tomorrow.
Marc Marquez can savor an impressive victory. Once again, he finished ahead of his brother Alex. « Everyone expected me to win today and tomorrow, but it's never easy.Today there was the surprise of Quartararo, who shocked me with pole position. His response at the first corner surprised me and tomorrow there could be more surprises, because we are in MotoGP. The important thing is the 12 points won » he declared to Sky Sports after arrival.

Marquez and Quartararo have faced off on numerous occasions during the 2019 season. This is an opportunity for the Spaniard to find a great rival at the forefront, which he believes will be positive for the evolution of the sport. “The Ducati is faster on the straights, you could see that when I overtook Fabio, but the Yamaha is very strong in the fast corners and remains stable. It's good for the Championship to have Fabio in front, it's good to have different opponents, other brands. » he added.

For tomorrow, there are many questions, as are the tire choices to be made. « Tomorrow we have to choose which tire to use, and the track changes a lot from morning to night, that's what makes the biggest differenceThe choice of tire will be fundamental. I expect Fabio to perform well, but also Alex, who rode very well on the medium tire yesterday, and not forgetting Pecco. Everyone can improve for Sunday. The fans cheered us on, Alex, Pecco, and me. We saw healthy and pure motorcycle sportThe support from the fans is incredible, it pushes you on the bike." he concluded.
