It was an annoyed Johann Zarco, to say the least, who appeared at the Canal+ microphone to take stock of a Spanish Grand Prix which was marked by two crashes during the two races. But that of Sunday was caused by Aleix Espargaró who has made the Frenchman his victim for too long. He hung it, but in the gravel trap, he complained about our national jojo, a story which could only interest the independent commissioners of the FIM...

The two pilots were therefore summoned, and, upon exit, Johann zarco had to answer this spontaneous question: was he identified as at fault in this accident of the exciting Spanish Grand Prix ? The response came… “ Oh no, I don’t hope so! But it's ridiculous … Aleix Espargaró complains, telling me “you overtook me 3 times, you touched me 3 times and now I’m trying to avoid you so I fall”. But already I haven't touched it and yes I'm fighting because these are the places I can play. I'm not going to let it go any further."

He pursues : « he says i'm aggressive but no, i'm just trying to make my mark but there in this action he told me I could have released the brakes. I told him that no, he couldn't, that he had overtaken me before in exactly the same place while being a little further ahead and, therefore, logically I didn't enter the bend to overtake him again. But he was less advanced and it didn't happen. But almost I should tell him that I don’t blame him.”

Johann Zarco: “ and there you have Freddy (Spencer) looking at us, staring into space, acting as if we were two little kids »

But the Frenchman doesn’t stop there: “ and there you have Freddy (Spencer) looking at us, staring into space, acting as if we were two little kids ... What does he want to do to us? A moral, or does he want me to complain about Aleix by telling him “yes, give him a penalty, it’s not good”? But no, it's not up to me to say to give a penalty, it's up to him to decide. I spoke to her about Brad Binder's action yesterday, specifying that it was not normal that she was not penalized. Aleix agreed with me.”

And then there’s this…” Afterwards I said to Freddy “I don't like you anyway, so you're doing your job and you're doing it badly. What do you expect from me? It's ridiculous and then they took me out because they said I was getting angry ». Then he concludes: “ After yesterday's race there were some who complained that it was necessary to put up a red flag. Yes there were traces of humidity, but these were conditions where we could ride, we just had to learn to be a little more careful. Sometimes it helps you understand certain falls because we cannot always blame all the elements around us when we deviated from the dry trajectory ". Close the ban!
