Perfectly successful operation for Stefano Nepa on the morning of October 24 in Malaysia. A first intervention to reduce the various fractures reported in the left leg following the driver's frightening accident at Sepang. At his side Alessandro Tonucci, MTA team manager, who supported his driver from the first delicate moments. Then the transfer to Italy will follow, hopefully for Friday, to carry out the definitive intervention.

Here is the press release from Stefano Nepa : " On the morning of October 24, Stefano underwent a first surgery to reduce the multi-fragmented fracture of the tibia and fibula of his left leg. Dr Mohd Azli from Prince Court Medical Center in Kuala Lumpur conducted the operation successfully under general anesthesia. The fractures were partially reduced and an external metal fixator was applied.”

Team Manager Alessandro Tonucci stayed by Stefano Nepa's side day and night

“He will need to remain under observation for approximately 48 hours before receiving official departure in order to make the return trip to Italy, hopefully by Friday. Once back in Italy, he will be transferred to one of the facilities in Emilia-Romagna affiliated with the mobile clinic of Dr. Michele Zasa for the definitive operation ».

« Stefano and all members of MTA Racing sincerely thank Dr. Mohd Azli and the entire Prince Court Medical Center for the welcome, hospitality and great professionalism with which he provided first aid after the accident on Sunday. Stefano and the Nepa family also sincerely thank Team Manager Alessandro Tonucci for the great help given in the most difficult times. He gave up his plan to leave for Italy and stayed by Stefano's side day and night like an older brother, showing great humanity, dedication and professionalism. Thank you Ale, for all of us you are the World Champion of Team Managers”.
