It's nothing to say that Sylvain Guintoli has been busy this summer. Judge for yourself: the Suzuka 8 Hours, tests on the unprecedented KymiRing in Finland, but also a Grand Prix in Brno and the meeting in Great Britain at Silverstone which ended in twelfth place. However, the icing on the cake was the victory of the leader of the Suzuki troops, Álex Rins. The opportunity to lift the veil on the atmosphere that reigns among Hamamatsu officials.

Well, there was also the procedure for speeding initiated on the road route which led to Sylvain Guintoli until Silverstone, but this pitfall did not tarnish the joy which dominated this twelfth meeting of the season at the treacherous Albion. “ Álex Rins' victory was absolutely brilliant, I'm so happy I got to celebrate with him and the team » commented the Frenchman. “ It was so good, I was so happy! After the race, I could see on the big screen that Álex had won. I couldn't believe it! »

« Normally after a race you start the debrief with your team, but everyone headed straight to the parc ferme and the awards ceremony. I celebrated with the whole team while Álex and Davide Brivio received their trophies. We were all so emotional, I think you can see it in the photos » adds the Superbike World Champion.

But how do we achieve such an outpouring? Sylvain explains: “ This is because there is a lot of work behind the scenes. We are a small MotoGP team, even if we are a factory team. We are also very well organized and focused, everyone has a good work attitude and everyone takes their work very seriously. But on the other hand, if we win, everyone celebrates! We celebrate as a family and we are all so happy for each other. It's really special! »

« Suzuki, the team and I are trying hard. We are always striving to come up with new ideas and improve performance. It's really nice to see that the work we've done is helping the MotoGP team. That feels good » assures the Frenchman on Speedweek. “ Álex had an excellent race, he is an excellent driver. It is so good to see that everyone's dedication is paying off and he is at the highest level of the podium. »

Sylvain Guintoli finished : " This summer I was incredibly busy with testing and racing. I sat on the bike a lot and it was really good. But now I'm taking a break and spending time with my family before testing in Motegi. Again, I'll do another wildcard mission, I'm really looking forward to racing again! »
