Tomorrow, and possibly Thursday in case of rain on Wednesday, the Motorland Aragon circuit will be used by the Alma Pramac Racing, Ducati, Movistar Yamaha MotoGP, Red Bull KTM Factory and Suzuki Ecstar teams.

This partly explains why, for example, and unlike Ducati, the Yamaha Factory team did not wish to postpone the Silverstone race to Monday, since, in this case, there would not have been the time necessary for the trucks to make the Silverstone–Alcaniz journey. However, in the current period, it is very important for Yamaha to do everything to try to progress the M1 which suffers from a deficit in traction that electronics alone can only partially compensate.

The Yamaha will have a new engine next season (heavier crankshaft?) and, in the meantime, Michele Gadda will try to do what he can to improve it electronically.

This evening, in the hotels of Alcaniz, we could see Sylvain Guintoli, who will therefore more than likely ride tomorrow for Suzuki, as well as Chaz Davies, the presence of the latter raising the possibility that a Panigale from the Ducati Superbike team will also be present on the track this Wednesday. Michele Pirro is also on hand for MotoGP.

As a KTM test rider, Randy de Puniet should logically also be there. Could he however replace Pol Espargaro at Misano in the event of prolonged failure of the latter? The French rider was offered to race at Silverstone but declined, due to lack of riding a MotoGP for almost 2 years. To see for Misano…

Given that this is a private test, we will try to provide as complete a report as possible tomorrow evening.
