Following Marc Marquez's dominance at the Aragon Grand Prix, the MotoGP teams return to the track this Monday, June 9, for a day of official IRTA testing from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. at MotorLand Aragon. This session, crucial for testing new technical solutions, will see the absence of injured Jorge Martin, Ai Ogura, and Luca Marini, while Moto2 protagonist Manu Gonzalez will make his MotoGP debut.
The day after a Aragon Grand Prix dominated by Marc Marquez, the MotoGP paddock remains in full swing this Monday, June 9, with a crucial day of official testing at MotorLand. 10h to 18h, all manufacturers will have eight hours to fine-tune their machines, test new parts and validate technical developments intended to improve their competitiveness for the rest of the championnat.
It is a strategic day for Ducati, especially for Pecco Bagnaia, which will have to confirm the positive sensations felt on Sunday. The Italian factory will test a new fairing, a key element in aerodynamic balance and thermal management. After a solid podium, bagnaia must now transform progress into consistency and reliability to face a Marc Marquez in full renaissance.
On the surprise side, the absence ofAi Ogura (Aprilia TrackHouse), injured, offers a rare opportunity to Manu Gonzalez, in contention for the Moto2 title, who will climb for the first time on a MotoGP. A highly anticipated test, as much for the Spanish rider as for Aprilia, who sees in him serious potential for the future.
On the other hand, there will be forfeits in addition toAi Ogura : George Martin (Aprilia factory), still recovering from his multiple fractures as Luca marini (Honda HRC), also injured and recovering.
The test is covered continuously on our airwaves with an FP1 then an FP2. The day is in fact divided into two sessions : departure at 10h00 up to 13h00, then resumed at 13h20 until the checkered flag at 18h00.
