This morning in Buriram, the gladiators of the time trial opened the hostilities, but the afternoon saw the real race simulations, a foretaste of the Grand Prix of Thailand which is looming at 15pm local time (9am in France). Marc Marquez particularly distinguished himself by achieving the best times during these laps of the track…

After The first time trial sessions in Buriram, the afternoon was marked by several race simulations, a crucial aspect in view of the Thailand Grand Prix, scheduled for 15 p.m. local time. Several drivers engaged in sprint simulations, while others attempted to maintain a good pace over longer distances.

Pecco Bagnaia started his race simulation, but after eight laps he decided to stop and return to the pits, a decision that puzzled some observers. The Italian has already completed 30 laps this afternoon, but has not completed a long run. We cannot therefore compare bagnaia à Marc Marquez For now.

Marco Bezzecchi showed excellent form with his Aprilia. He started with a lap time of 1'29, and by the tenth lap his pace had dropped to 1'30, which is still impressive. To give you a point of reference, Jorge Martin had driven in 1'30.3 on his tenth sprint lap last year. Bezzecchi thus confirmed his excellent level in race simulation, although he stopped after only 13 laps.

Alex Marquez, for his part, carried out a sprint simulation, but his pace was slower than that of Bezzecchi. He went from 1'30 to 1'31 in the first laps, while Bezzecchi stayed around 1'30. Alex continued his simulation for longer, running 20 laps with times around 1'31.

Jack Miller also showed good pace, with a 13th lap in 1'30.4, which is a good result for the Yamaha , which has had its ups and downs during testing.

Pedro Acosta and Joan Mir stand out in Buriram

Marc Marquez, he impressed with a 21-lap race simulation, where he posted remarkable times. After 20 laps, his time was 1'30.8, then he finished his simulation with a 1'30.7, displaying impressive consistency. Compared to Alex Marquez, Marc was faster by more than half a second on average. Only Bezzecchi had been a little faster, but the latter had only performed a sprint simulation.

Peter Acosta, meanwhile, started his race simulation with consistent times around 1'30.3 and 1'30.4, placing himself in second position behind Marquez. His pace was also solid, but he remained a little behind the rider. Ducati.

The highlights of this afternoon of simulations were therefore: the blazing speed and regularity of Marc Marquez over 24 laps, the speed of Bezzecchi in his sprint, as well as the surprising performance of Joan mir, who completed an 11-lap simulation just two-tenths of a second behind Bezzecchi on average. Brad Binder did a 12-lap sprint simulation, but was a second slower on average than Bezzecchi.

fabio quartararo showed progress by moving up the rankings. He posted a time of 1'29.586, placing the Yamaha in provisional second position just ahead of his now famous colleague Jack MillerThis bodes well for a tight battle to come, with performances getting closer and closer.

In sight of the checkered flag, Pecco Bagnaia slams a 1'29.429 which puts him in the lead ahead of his teammate Marc Marquez. The signal for a final hunt for the clock, to which even a Joan mir, who posts his Honda at the top with a 1'29.399. Bezzecchi counterattacks with his Aprilia in 1'29.060. Not bad, but not enough to make the morning person tremble 1'28.855 de Marc Marquez which has undoubtedly left its mark on this last performance of the 2025 off-season. Next time, on the same track, it will be for real February 28th to March 2nd!
