The second and final day of testing in Valencia ended late in the afternoon and, like yesterday, it was Maverick Viñales who finished in the lead with his Yamaha whose changes for 2019 seem to be bearing fruit for the moment . He is thus ahead of Honda and Ducati by a tenth.

If there is one who will have a smile at the end of these two days of testing on the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, it is Maverick Vinales. He once again finished in the lead of the day, like yesterday, and improved his time by almost seven tenths. The changes made to the Yamaha for the 2019 version seem to be working and the next tests will confirm this impression or not.

The Spanish driver is ahead of the two other strong men in this test, namely the Vice-Champion and the 2018 World Champion, Andrea Dovizioso et Marc Márquez. The Italian also led the test an hour before the end before Viñales came to take first place from him by a tenth. The three men finished at the forefront of each of the two test days and are therefore the leaders of this preview of 2019.

Just behind them, we find Jack Miller for Pramac, Danilo Petrucci for Ducati and Franco Morbidelli for Petronas Yamaha in fourth, fifth and sixth places. The two Italians seem to be adapting very well to their new machine. Next come the two men who rode the most of the day, Alex Rins et Takaaki Nakagami, which count 69 and 70 laps respectively. Valentino Rossi et Aleix Espargaro complete the top 10.

Francis Bagnaia finished eleventh and best rookie, only six tenths off the best time, just ahead Jorge Lorenzo and his Honda.

fabio quartararo is sixteenth, Johann zarco twentieth.

After John Zarco (2 times) and Andrea Iannone (twice) earlier in the day, Hafiz Syahrin et Jonas Folger also made mistakes.

See you next week in Jerez to continue following the 2019 MotoGP pre-season.
