The Ducati rider took advantage of the best period of the day, between 11:30 a.m. and 15:00 p.m., when the sun almost managed to break through the cloud cover that hung over the Andalusian track before a fine intermittent rain occasionally hampered the proceedings. .

In the end, the one who had to deal with the speed of Jack Miller during the second half of the 2019 season managed to reassure himself by revealing himself to be the fastest of the Borgo Panigale drivers on Monday. Always good to take, even if the agenda was more to check the condition of his shoulder and to continue the development of the 2020 version of the Desmosedici GP.

After a total of 48 laps completed, Petrux is 1,2 seconds behind the fastest of the day, Maverick Viñales, just ahead of Andrea Dovizioso and Jack Miller.

My left shoulder, which hurt a lot in Valencia, was a little painful this morning: in the afternoon, I was better and we were able to do comparative tests, without aiming for fast times. We mainly focused on getting a better understanding of the new solutions present on the bike, and we certainly managed to get some useful insights for the future. »
