The MotoGP test which ended in Portimão brought its share of data to the riders and teams, and some, such as top speeds, are accessible to the public thanks to the official website MotoGP.com.

We ranked the best top speeds of each rider during these two days of testing, and it is no surprise that a Ducati comes out on top, that of Jorge Martín, at 347,2 km/h. The Desmosedici are indeed the queens in this field and the last position of Fabio DiGiannantonio is only due to his absence from running on Sunday due to his fall on Saturday.

For the others, the graph speaks for itself but none of the drivers present reached the 351,7 km/h recorded by Johann zarco in 2021! The Frenchman therefore stays in the Algarve as quickly as possible, at least until next week…

In Portimão, cell (S) is located before turn number 1 which has an asphalt exterior before the gravel trap, thus offering the possibility for drivers to be a little too long when braking without falling.
As the circuit is located near the Atlantic, the wind is of great importance and, for example, it is once again Johann zarco which was the fastest in 2022, but this time with “only” 340,6 km/h, exactly its best top speed during the last test.
