Yesterday ended two days of private testing at the World Circuit Misano Marco Simoncelli for many drivers in the premier Grand Prix category.

Alongside Michele Pirro (Dozens), Stefan bradl (Honda) and Matteo Baiocco (Aprilia) on the handlebars of their respective MotoGP, appeared in fact Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Enea Bastianini, Luca Marini, Jorge Martin, Tito Rabat and Matteo Ferrari on Ducati Panigale V4 S road bikes.

Without having the slightest answer, we can still wonder why Johann zarco was not present in the middle of this group of happy guys representing Borgo Panigale and who visibly appreciated this “scrubbing”…

Taking advantage of this opportunity, the organizers of the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, which will take place from September 17 to 19 in Misano, presented the Grand Prix poster. This one, still made by Aldo Drudi, is in line with his previous productions, which have become true collector's items.

However, this year the focus has clearly been on Ducati and the Italian designer explains why.

We should also point out that, despite the health crisis, the World Circuit Misano Marco Simoncelli is pulling out all the stops by having already opened a new area including shops and a restaurant, the MWC Square, and doing its utmost to accommodate as many spectators as possible. possible in September. We are currently talking about 23 spectators compared to 10 last season, subject to government approval.

Finally, last but not least, although obviously no information has been disclosed on the tests of the three MotoGPs on track, we can observe in a video broadcast on Instagram by Michele Pirro that his Ducati has a dent where there is usually a hollow on the fake tank.

The hollow allows the pilot to be able to place his helmet as low as possible in order to be as aerodynamic as possible. The bump on the Ducati test rider's prototype reminds us remarkably of the bump that appeared temporarily in the same place on the Yamahas when Iwata's men decided to remount the engine in their chassis. The air filter had also been refitted, as had the ECU attached to it, which gave us a similar dent during testing in Valencia before new covers were made for the following season.

However, without completely excluding it, we are far from being convinced that in the present case the same causes produce the same effects. We would not even be far from thinking that it could simply be a GPS, prohibited on MotoGP during the Grands Prix (except those for the exclusive use of Dorna Sports for various visual applications) but not during the private tests, even if this appendix seems particularly well integrated…

To compare with the last Ducatis to appear in the race:

The test ended with an inauguration…

To be continued, therefore.
