Francis Bagnaia joined yesterday Enea Bastianini testing her physical fitness on the Mugello circuit in relation to his fracture of the right shoulder blade acquired in Portimão.

Unlucky, the Rimini driver has not yet been able to complete a race weekend so far and his season will really begin at Mugello, for his national Grand Prix. He actually has a deficit of 94 points on his teammate, but there are potentially 481 points left to register, which, despite the 5 missed GPs, should be enough to motivate Bestia especially since his place in the official Ducati team is more and more coveted...

For its part, Francis Bagnaia, leader of the championship but author of the third retirement of the season at Le Mans, wanted to check that his partial fracture of the talus of his right ankle suffered in the Sarthe would not hinder him during the Italian Grand Prix which will be held on the hilly route the weekend of June 9 to 11. Like his teammate, he got on a Panigale V4 S to do a few laps in the middle of the Tuscan hills under the watchful eye of the sporting director of the Italian manufacturer, Davide Tardozzi. No statement has been made at this time.

The two official Ducati riders rode together with Michele Pirro who had a Desmosedici GP23. The day before, the Ducati test rider had crashed at Arrabbiata 2, dislocating his right shoulder, which could have compromised his wildcard for the Italian Grand Prix. But fortunately, the joint was quickly put back in place, which allowed the driver from Puglia to complete his test program on Wednesday despite another small fall.

« Hi guys, yesterday I suffered a bad fall at Mugello in Arrabbiata 2. I dislocated my right shoulder and had various bruises, but thanks to the medical center of the circuit and to the men of the Modena polyclinic run by the Doctors Cattani and Porcellini, and with the help of the physiotherapist, I was able to get back on the track today. I want to reassure you, I will be there in two weeks at the Italian GP in Mugello. Thank you all for the messages of support. »

This private test is now finished and we will have to wait until June 9 to find the MotoGP on the Italian track.
