During the second day of MotoGP testing in Qatar, there were several crashes after dark, including Jack Miller, Miguel Oliveira and Joan Mir.

Same scenario the next day with Valentino Rossi et Pol Espargaro. Or rather no, not the same scenario!

Explanations…

On the second day, the pilots were actually surprised by the arrival of humidity, much earlier than usual. It is moreover to avoid this that the Qatar Grand Prix has been brought forward by 2 hours this year. Obviously, some days this is not enough, because sometimes the humidity arrives without warning and this is what will be one of the difficulties of this first confrontation of the 2020 season.

On the third day of testing, there was no condensation and the drivers mentioned above simply fell out of too much enthusiasm.

Alex Briggs, one of the three loyal mechanics of Valentino Rossi, shows you the difference in pictures.

Video of the second day: condensation is present on the transport crates. Touching the tarmac, Alex Briggs specifies: “ you can't really feel it, but it's there. »

Video of the third day: no condensation.
