The curtain has fallen on the pre-season MotoGP 2024 and Fabio DiGiannantonio confirmed on the Losail circuit in Qatar his 8th place acquired during the previous test in Malaysia.

If we remember that the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team driver finished 7th during the test in Valencia last November, we can say that the 25-year-old Roman now represents a sure bet in the top 10, on a timed lap and even more, as evidenced by his first victory acquired in Qatar for the penultimate Grand Prix of the 2023 season.

Fabio DiGiannantonio even ranked 5th at the end of the first day of testing at Losail, before improving his best time by a second the next day, in 1'51.489, but falling back to 8th following the impressive performances of his opponents.

At the end of the 60 laps completed, this time is however only half a second behind the leader Francis Bagnaia who set a 1'50.952.

The number 49 remained on track until 16:00 p.m. local time to make the most of the session time, finishing at the end of the day with an excellent Sprint simulation.

The results are therefore more than positive for the Italian riding his lemon yellow Ducati Desmosedici GP23.

Fabio Di Giannantonio: “ A very good test, we did a good job. I managed to be quite strong in the time-attack and I am satisfied with the Sprint simulation. The results are positive, but we must not forget that it is only a test. We bring back good feelings, a good approach with the team and a group that is growing. It seems that the official drivers have something more, but we will do our best to be able to fight in the race and try until the end. »

Paul Grandson, Team Manager: « Overall, the pre-season went well for the whole team. The level is really very high: compared to 2023, the best drivers in the Top10/Top12 are very competitive. I am satisfied with the work of the group and the progress made here in Qatar. Fabio and Marco are ready for the first race. What can I say ? We are impatient ! »
