It’s a Jack Miller satisfied who finished with tests at Qatar who nevertheless asked more questions than provided answers to the Ducati clan, of which he is a part. But the Australian has his own challenge. And it consists of being the poison of the official drivers of Borgo Panigale to settle there next year. In this sense, its target is Petrucci. And he just missed it.

That being said, the same Ducati which were in the first four places at the end of the last tests in Malaysia this time did not disturb the leading men in their quest for the best time. A situation that did not make the Borgo Panigale staff laugh. From then on, to have a smile, you had to turn to Jack Miller. The teammate of bagnaia was only 0,033 seconds behind Monday Danilo Petrucci and he only lost 0,643 seconds on the fastest time.

« It was a very good last day in Qatar " commented Jack Miller. " Every day we worked diligently on race pace and spent a lot of time using worn tires. Today we planned a racing simulation. I was really happy with the pace. I always rode in the mid 1'55s, the bike was excellent. I think we are in a good position. In addition, my personal best time of 1' 54,8 min pleased me, I have never been so fast. We drove quite late this time, the track condition was still good. Honestly, it was the only time in three days that we went clock hunting. I am happy with this test. And especially with the data in race condition ».

He specifies : " in race conditions, I rode with a medium front and a soft rear, with these two options, I have no complaints. Due to the strong wind and relatively cool temperature, we were a little worried about the simulation, which we started at 20 p.m. local time, because at that time the race will start on March 10. I was wondering if the medium before was the right choice. But this compound has proven itself perfectly. I got used to it in the first few laps and then got better. Even the soft rear tire didn't heat up too much ».

Where does Jack want to improve until the Grand Prix? “ Of course, there are small areas where we can optimize something else. For example, at turns 10 and 11 we are looking for even more traction when accelerating. We have to stay calm at the Grand Prix. Then we could start the season with a decent result ».
