The Suzuki rider had a very good final test on the Losail track, and says he is ready for the first GP of the season, which will be held on this same circuit in just two weeks.

Joan mir will have continued to progress during this winter break, and concludes this final pre-season test in Qatar closer to the leaders than ever. After dominating the first day of testing with his teammate Álex Rins, he was slightly more discreet, while still finishing at the front.

This third and final day did not escape the rule, since the Spaniard placed sixth, less than three tenths from the best time. Mainly focused on comparing the different tires, he also carried out a time attack at the end of the day, and showed good consistency.

" I am very happy. This test was the last but also the best », he commented to Speedweek. “I had more time to learn. We improved our lap time every day and increased our pace. Overall, we did a very good job. I still need to improve when it comes to doing a fast lap. It's not easy to understand where to attack and where the limit is. I still have room to improve. »

With less than two weeks to go before the first Grand Prix of the season, it is now time to state his objectives, and the Suzuki driver does not hide his ambition: “I want to fight for the podium, be fast and be there when the other drivers make a mistake. Victory is a dream, and honestly we are close to the best, but we still have to go for it in the race and it's not easy. The main objective is to finish between the podium and the top 5.”
