Undoubtedly put through the mill of the Repsol Honda team's communications department, here is the official interview with Marc Márquez broadcast at the end of the three-day test in Sepang.

Honestly, we don't learn much there, and in any case much less than through the hot declarations and facial expressions of the Catalan which concluded this test in 10th position, but we still have to report here this very corporate and polite version of the facts in Malaysia...

Interview with Marc Marquez

How does it feel to be back in action on a MotoGP bike after the intense winter work you did?

“For me, the most important thing about this test in Malaysia was my physical condition. I worked hard, but in a good way, because I felt much better on the bike throughout the winter. It was crucial to start the pre-season well from a physical point of view. I feel much better than, for example, the Valencia race at the end of the year. I still have room for improvement because we have a month left before the Portimao race, so we will continue to work and see if we can take another step. »

We saw you working with up to four motorcycles in this test. Are you satisfied with the work Honda has done since the Valencia test?

“The Repsol Honda team works a lot and they organized this test very well. We had four different bikes and it's not easy to try all the new things in just three days. They worked very well and brought new parts for us to test. »

Have the issues you found during the November test been fixed?

“We have a new technical director, Ken Kawauchi, who comes from Suzuki and he has brought new ideas and new concepts. The engineers received a lot of information from this test and I think we will prepare a good test plan for Portimao. »

Were you able to meet your teammate on the track?

“I never found Joan on the track, so I don't know how he rides the Honda, but he was improving day by day. He's a world champion, so he's a fast driver and he'll be a strong teammate. »
