Johann Zarco concluded the three-day IRTA test in Malaysia in 17th place. He seems satisfied with Honda's way of working, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the four riders to share data and compare each other in order to improve the bike, thus preparing to compete at the highest level of MotoGP.

Three days of intense work ended on the international circuit of Sepang for French John Zarco and his new Castrol Honda LCR team. After 138 laps and lots of information gathered, the driver and team were able to compare the different settings and new parts provided by HRC to get the most out of the 2024 season. There is room for improvement, but the improvements of this year are solid, and Johann and the technicians are satisfied with the work carried out throughout the three days.

Despite the positives noted during testing, the French rider remains focused on the continued work needed to perfect other aspects of the bike. In his statements after the third day of testing at Sepang for the 2024 Honda Repsol MotoGP, he mentioned: “ I like the way Honda has laid out its plans for 2024. All four drivers compare and share data, and it is crucial to improve the bike and be ready to fight for the best positions ».

He adds : " we recorded some positives during testing and we need to continue working in other areas, but overall, I am satisfied with the work accomplished ". To continue trying and analyzing the different options, the MotoGP grid will be in Qatar in eight days to undergo the second of the official tests before the first race in 2024 (Qatar, March 10).
