Nicolas Goyon as Team Manager of GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 is now the voice on the MotoGP field of the French structure dear to Hervé Poncharal. The Frenchman returns with his troops from three days of testing at Sepang which were visibly grueling not only because of the exhausting weather conditions but also because of the workload necessary for the development of what remains an RC16, whether red or orange. Overall, it was his pilot who returned to his first love Pol Espargaró who finished the exercise at the head of the Mattighofen family and that in itself is already a great satisfaction.
Nicolas Goyon recounts his escapade in Malaysia : " it was nice to see our two drivers return to school after the winter... Sepang organizes the traditional pre-season tests, and I must say that they were very intense for the GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 team ". And for good reason : " We noticed great efforts by Pierer Mobility Group staff during the winter. There was a lot of stuff to test and we did almost all of our homework and the drivers did a great job ».
Nicolas Goyon: “ thanks to the whole team«
He adds : " Pol Espargaro had a lot of different elements to test: engines, aerodynamic parts, chassis parts, and he went through them all, which gives us a better idea of the bike we will have for the season. Augusto Fernandez needed to learn the bike, gain speed, and he also had aerodynamic and chassis elements to test, which was positive for him. He improved his lap time, although he ended up being caught out by rain towards the end of the final day ».
The team manager concludes: “ thank you both for their work over the last three days. I would like to end by saying thank you to the team because they worked incredibly hard over the last week, with late night shifts and little sleep, just so we can be ready each day. This was one of the hardest tests, but we did it, and we return home with lots of positive comments. thanks to the whole team ».
