MotoGP test riders like the fast-approaching rookie of the 2023 season, Augusto Fernandez, continue a Shakedown in Sepang that began the day before and which will end tomorrow. It's midday in Malaysia and the first verdict on Monday was decided by the rain which had already disrupted the exercise at the end of the day. A providential downpour for the reigning Moto2 World Champion GASAS rider.
It is in fact the Spaniard placed with Tech3 by KTM who leads a very symbolic time sheet since none of the other protagonists took the slightest risk on a track that was still wet. Michele Pirro for Ducati and Callus Crutchlow for Yamaha, and best time on Sunday, follow. Stefan Bradl remains in the soft underbelly of the peloton while Lorenzo Savadori continues to review the RS-GP made available to it. He actually ran six of them, including the machines which will be dedicated to the RNF satellite team, on the first day.
At KTM, Jonas Folger continues his discovery course on the RC16 while Dani Pedrosa continues to do rounds without a transponder. His times therefore remain a mystery. The protagonists are now hoping for a more lenient afternoon. In our latitudes, hostilities will stop at 18:00 p.m.
