The 2024 MotoGP test at Sepang began with a three-day Shakedown, ending this Saturday. KTM riders, including star test riders Dani Pedrosa and Pol Espargaró, dominated the first two days. The rookie Peter Acosta attracted attention by displaying convincing performances during the first two days, finishing in third place for GASGAS Tech3. With Pol Espargaro leading with a time of 1'58.241s, lap times are expected to reach 1'57s on day three, subject to weather conditions.
Aerodynamics have been a major topic of discussion, with notable innovations fromAprilia, KTM, Ducati, Honda, but not really Yamaha . Teams are now free from the engine evolution freeze, allowing Honda et Yamaha to modify their powertrains throughout the year.
