The drivers in the category MotoGP are conducting their third and final 2026 pre-season test this weekend, before diving into the deep end here in Buriram, Thailand, in less than a week.
So now is the time to recall a few things, such as, anecdotally, the first tests in Valencia dominated by Raul fernandez (Trackhouse MotoGP Team) ahead Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing), but above all those of three days in Sepang, Malaysia, which ultimately fell into the hands ofAlex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) ahead of the same Italian rider.

Of the 22 riders in the premier category, 21 are present at the Chang circuit, the only Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) absent, replaced during this test and the Grand Prix by Michele Pirro.
However, it will be observed Marc Márquez (Ducati Lenovo Team), which only made a cautious return in Malaysia after a very/too long absence, as well as Jorge Martín
(Aprilia Racing) which is making its return in Thailand, after receiving the medical green light.
To a much lesser extent, fabio quartararo
(Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) also gets back on his machine, after leaving the last test mid-way.
A relatively cautious approach is necessary regarding Diogo Moreira (Pro Honda LCR) and Toprak Razgatlioglu (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP), who are riding for the first time on the Chang International Circuit on a MotoGP bike.
For all these people, the reference will be, of course, the 1'28.855 realized by Marc Márquez during the 2025 test, or the 1'28.782 obtained by the same man during last year's qualification.
George Martin He also pleased us by achieving the second best time.

FP1 concluded with the traditional practice starts.
Let's continue the live coverage now, with this second session of the first day!
