The second and final day of MotoGP testing started today at the Valencia circuit. Yesterday, the two Yamaha riders, Maverick Viñales and Valentino Rossi, finished in the lead, separated by Marc Márquez who took second position. For their part, the French Johann Zarco and Fabio Quartararo finished seventeenth and twenty-third respectively.

The day was shortened by rain and the second day is therefore impatiently awaited by the drivers in order to be able to discover or improve, depending on the case, their machine.

The weather was once again capricious during this test since following the showers that fell yesterday evening, the track was still wet this morning. In these mixed conditions, the pilots did not want to take any risks and waited until it was almost completely dry to go.

If the test day started at 10 a.m., we had to wait until 12:30 p.m. to see John Zarco enter the track first, followed a few laps later by Andrea Iannone who set the reference time in 1'33.313. Jonas Folger et Jack Miller then went out in turn.

At 13 p.m., eight drivers were still in their box, likeAndrea Dovizioso or Maverick Vinales. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez took the best time by running in 1'31.068, a little more than three tenths better than the best time the day before.

At midday, Márquez still holds first place ahead of new Ducati teammates, Danilo Petrucci et Andrea Dovizioso, followed by Maverick Vinales, Franco Morbidelli et Jack Miller. Alex Rins, Aleix Espargaró, Takaaki Nakagami et Pol Espargaro complete the top 10. They precede Valentino Rossi, while further Jorge Lorenzo is fifteenth, John Zarco seventeenth and fabio quartararo eighteenth.

This second day also marks the first falls since zarco et Iannone went wrong this afternoon.
