Raul Fernandez Gardner

Remy Gardner and Raul Fernandez experienced their first time on a MotoGP, within their future Tech3 KTM team which will welcome them in 2022. A test gallop organized by KTM during the second day of testing in Misano, an event which was not to the taste of one Iker Lecuona still holder of the orange RC16 until the end of the year, and who did not hide his dissatisfaction at having had to give up his place. A grumble that is barely simmering, however, because it is covered by the joy of the graduates who have made their great satisfaction known with such force...

Remy gardner et Raul Fernandez are teammates and rivals in Moto2 for the title, and they will experience a new season together in 2022, but this time in MotoGP. KTM takes care of its family members, so much so that the two hopefuls were offered the opportunity to already discover what awaits them next year, by climbing on the RC16 Tech3 from the second day of tests in Misano.

An experience that pleased the protagonists who raved about the characteristics of the motorcycle. Remy gardner, who leads the general classification in Moto2, completed a total of 47 laps and finished last in both sessions. Subsequently, the 23-year-old Australian, who fell at low speed, enthused: “ honestly, it was just amazing! » And he explained: “ I expected the bike to have lots of power and strong brakes. But you don't really know how tough these bikes are until you try them yourself. The speed of the motorcycle was incredible."

« I had a great day and had a lot of fun. It was also good to get a feel for the bike and try to understand it. It was a nice little reward from KTM for us. I can't wait to really get started. I'm already looking forward to pushing the KTM to the limit next time », added the five-time Grand Prix winner.
