MotoGP: Tests at Misano... live on our site!

It is in order to prepare for the Grand Prix which will take place on September 15 and to work for 2020 that all permanent drivers and two test drivers will participate in a two-day test at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. The track will be open each of the two days from 9:30 a.m. to 18 p.m., with a break for lunch scheduled between 13 p.m. and 14 p.m.

If you are on vacation in the region, take advantage of it, the public is admitted for 20 euros per day or 28 for both, or 8 if you already have your ticket for the Grand Prix. This will give you access to stands A,B and C and Prato 1.

According to Repsol Honda team manager Alberto Puig, “ This will be an important test that we will carry out before the race on September 15. We want to try new components for the rest of the season, but also for next year. Engineers will then be able to make final adjustments and complete the project for the future. We have a few very interesting days ahead of us. »

We will first have the great pleasure of finding on the circuit the banks of the Adriatic fabio quartararo et Andrea Dovizioso, who had shown signs of concern after their big falls last Sunday at Silverstone. Joan Mir, who fell at high speed during testing in Brno and suffered chest and lung pain, will also be present, as will the two testers Stefan Bradl for Honda and Michele Pirro for Ducati. Mir was replaced last weekend by Sylvain Guintoli in England, who obtained a good twelfth place, beating five opponents.

Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) and Jorge Lorenzo (Repsol Honda Team) will be assisted by Stefan Bradl (Team HRC), Cal Crutchlow and Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda).

At Ducati, Danilo Petrucci (Ducati Team) and Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) will focus on settings for the next GP on September 15, while Ducati will work on the 2020 model with Michele Pirro. Jack Miller (Pramac Racing) will be more focused on the settings, after his problems encountered at Silverstone with the rear tire.

At Yamaha, we will follow with interest the second evolution of the 2020 engine, after the first version was tested the day after the Brno Grand Prix. On the other hand Maverick Viñales (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) is preparing to try new parts that could favor his riding style. He will work on the grip, a point which particularly posed a problem for Valentino Rossi (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) during the last Silverstone Grand Prix. We also expect to see a new carbon swingarm for the M1.

At Suzuki, after the fantastic victory of Álex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar), this test will mark the great return of Joan Mir and will also serve to prepare for the end of the season.

Petronas Yamaha SRT riders Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli will fine-tune their settings, and Fabio will first have to undergo a medical examination following his Silverstone crash.

KTM is planning as usual to test new parts for 2020, and that's why Johann zarco (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) will only ride for one day, unlike his current teammate Pol Espargaró who will be there for both days. The Frenchman will focus on setup and his riding style with the 16 RC 2019. Hafizh Syahrin (Red Bull KTM Tech3) and Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Tech3) will work on their bike setup, while trying to find a better pace on worn tires. Tuning work will also continue for Aleix Espargaró and Andrea Iannone, the two representatives of Aprilia Racing Team Gresini.
