Alex Marquez immediately integrated well into the Gresini Racing Team. He played at a high level during the Portimao tests and coach Manuel Poggiali is definitely satisfied. Fabio DiGiannantonio, on the other hand, had to miss the second day of testing due to a banal accident in which, however, he hit his head and then had to rest as a precaution.

« Overall it was a good test " commented Manuel Poggiali . " We worked well, did the planned tests, in particular with Álex Márquez. We managed to make the most of the two days, reconfirming the good feelings from Sepang and then focusing on the time trial and the Sprint race on Sunday. We tried to see where we could position ourselves in a range, to understand if the path we had taken was the right one. There were minor falls but at the same time important and useful with Alex to understand the limits of the bike. It was an absolutely positive test. Let's start there and try to refine the aspects that we think could be improved over the course of the race weekend. »

Fabio Di Giannantonio, meanwhile, ended up in hospital.

« Diggia suffered a big fall which prevented him from returning to the track on the second day. It's a shame because we should have continued the good work done in Sepang and optimized the first day where we had a good work. This accident prevented us from optimizing the test. Now we stay focused, motivated and ready for the championship. »

Meanwhile, Manuel Poggiali begins its project related to motorcycle tourism with interesting tours between Misano, Imola and Mugello.
