MotoGP Tests Qatar J2 mid session: Vinales takes the lead Rossi and Lorenzo fall

It's back to the side of losail which begins its second evening of tests. A start to the year which was marked by a shower which delayed the hostilities and then caused some inconveniences with the minor falls of Lorenzo and then Rossi. The pace was then taken, first by Vinales who clocked his first time under the 1'55 per lap mark.

However, the Yamaha official is not yet up to par with yesterday's time achieved by Dovizioso, but he fulfilled the objective missed yesterday of achieving a time of 1'54. 1''54.98 is the mid-term benchmark, under the nose and beard of a Márquez which dominated until then.

The latter remains second and rides with a Honda with a familiar fairing since the novelty seen on Friday not only caused his fall during the first day but was apparently not to the taste of the officials.

Lorenzo is third ahead of the always convincing Folger who is ahead Baptist who fell and Red looking for good sensations. Crutchlow, Dovizioso, Redding et Petrucci leave zarco at the door of the top 10. However, the Frenchman is faster than Iannone closely followed by the team member Kidneys. Pedrosa is fourteenth ahead of Aprilia by one Aleix Espargaró who fell. Loris Baz points eighteenth and finds himself in the middle of the KTMs.

There are three hours left before the final verdict. Everyone observes each other on the track and in the stands. The proof with the men from Yamaha scrutinizing the mysterious case of the Ducati GP17…
