The 2017 MotoGP pre-season did not end in the best way for Marc Márquez in Qatar. Having suffered three falls during this final session, the Honda driver finished 10th, 0,6 seconds behind Maverick Vinales, without really being able to do a race simulation. With this last mixed day, Marc Márquez emerges 11th in the combined ranking, 0.660 behind Maverick Vinales, and half a second behind his teammate.

Marc Marquez: “Je suis heureux avec le rythme que nous avons pu conserver aujourd’hui mais bien sûr cela n’a pas été le meilleur test de la pré-saison pour nous. J’ai chuté trois fois, la première au tout début parce que la moto s’est mise à bouger au virage # 4 et j’ai freiné tard. Puis, plus tard pendant la nuit, j’ai perdu l’avant deux fois et, en particulier pour ma seconde chute durant ma simulation de course, c’était de ma faute. Mais quand vous faites un long run, vous devez essayer et attaquer, sinon vous ne pouvez pas comprendre où vous en êtes vraiment. De toute façon, c’est mieux que ce genre de choses arrivent maintenant, pendant un test, et nous espérons que quand nous viendrons de nouveau ici pour la course, nous pourrons mieux gérer les choses. Comme je l’ai dit, notre rythme est plutôt bon; seul Maverick est plus rapide que tout le monde ici, et si nous devions courir demain, je crois que nous serions en mesure de nous battre pour le podium.”
