A great Friday for Enea Bastianini in Thailand! Despite a fall that we will come back to later, the Italian finished third in a very eventful Practice. He is behind Marc Marquez, with whom he is competing for third place in the championship, of course, but remains ahead of Pecco Bagnaia, his teammate. It is impossible not to be satisfied, even if "Bestia", to regain third place overall, will soon be forced to perform the feat. Can this happen tomorrow in Buriram?
The Italian was happy when he got off his bike. And there was reason to be, since this result sends him straight to Q2: unlike in Australia, he will not have to take part in a tortuous Q1. « The session went pretty well.. This morning, during FP1, I didn't have much confidence. There, it was much better, even if we still lack something in terms of rhythm » he said to the microphones of Sky Sports. However, he still fell in a very strange way during the Practice after going wide. A surprising mistake, see for yourself. :

Aware of his weak points, "Bestia" knows what to work on, which is an advantage in itself. « I lack stability, I don't brake like the two strongest, namely Marquez and Martin.. I hope we can get there tomorrow." he continued. The two Spaniards seem to be the favourites, but also watch out for Pecco Bagnaia who was formidable on this track last year.

As is often the case, Bastianini is as optimistic as possible. He knows he has the speed of the best. « There is not much left, just details. The bike has been pivoting at the front for a few races, and I can't load the rear. This is a problem that we must and can solve. » he asserted.
According to him, the race could be decided from the start: “Like on all hot tracks, it will be difficult to overtake. If you heat the front tyre, it’s over. That’s why getting a good start is very important. Yes, there will be overtaking, the most important thing will be to be in front.” he concluded.
