Sad day for Alex Rins in Thailand. Unable to match his teammate's times, he was forced to retire following another fall. Fortunately, he did not hurt himself, as we now know the fragile health of this pilot., who has suffered an incalculable number of volumes since his arrival in Grand Prix. Rins is going through a bad patch; it is impossible not to feel sad for a once glorious man, capable of competing with the best in the world on certain weekends.
Alex Rins was unhappy, but also happy not to have been injured. This is understandable, as he has already had a detour to the infirmary this season, forcing him to miss a race. « Luckily I'm okay because I crashed at turn 4, which is a long corner.. Overall it was the same as in the dry: it took a lot of laps to warm up the rear tyre. When the tire was ready after 5-6 laps, I managed to ride in 1'40 » he confided.

It never got better, until the fall. It's a shame, because maybe there was a chance. « I had a group in front of me and I managed to catch up, but I had trouble overtaking them.. I had the opportunity to surpass Joan Mir. But I was already a bit at the limit with the front tire because I had tried different trajectories once I arrived in the group, trying to overtake" he added.

This Thailand GP represents a kind of missed opportunity, because the rain levels the gaps, as Fabio Quartararo proved, at the front with the same machine. "I felt the front tire degrading and my race ended early." he concluded.
