The Petronas driver is counting on the Thai Grand Prix to recover after being hit at the start of the race in Aragón.

Franco Morbidelli had just completed two top 5 finishes at Silverstone and Misano, in addition to an excellent qualification in fourth position in Italy, when he was hit by Álex Rins on the first lap in Aragón. He who hoped to add a third top 5 to his tally had to leave with a blank result and a lot of disappointment.

With the race forgotten, the Italian rider is now totally focused on the four Grands Prix available to him, and which saw him achieve his best results last year for his first season in MotoGP. First stop: Thailand, where he hopes to be competitive again. “I like the Buriram circuit, and the Grand Prix was positive for me last year” he commented.

As a revenge, it aims for the same thing as in the previous GPs: “We will be able to exploit our strengths more [than two weeks ago], and we will try again to have a good level. We were strong in Aragón but we didn't have the chance to show it, so let's hope we can express our potential there. The goal is to be in the top 5 again.”
