Marc Márquez : “There was a point during the race where I think I was 0,7 seconds, 0,8 seconds or close to a second behind him, and I was like, 'OK, if he doesn't slow down, it will be impossible.” But then that's where I did my fastest lap. When I hesitated between giving up and trying, I told myself that I was going to try to attack as much as possible for two laps, and that if I passed these two laps, I would be ready to win the race. And that's what I did: I attacked two laps and then I did my fastest lap. Then I said to myself “OK, now it's time to relax and let go” because I was at the limit with the front. »
“But yes, Fabio drives the Yamaha in a very good way. I mean I have memories from the past, and he has a similar riding style to Jorge (Lorenzo) when he was at his best with the Yamaha. He rides the Yamaha using the whole track and he manages the race well. »
“Today he was very very very fast throughout the race, but of course we have strong points, like the engine at the moment, and they have another strong point which is the rear grip. In T3 and T4 it was impossible to follow them with our motorbike. But yes, he is improving a lot and he will be one of the main opponents next year. »
